241 - MISH MISH

"Robin Williams death is such a loss as a human being and as a great talent and inspiration. So many of us, me included suffer from serious depression. Teaching and performing for many of us is the thing that saves us from self destructing and keeps us moving forward. There are many days when I can't get up or find any motivation or self value. It is always a struggle with those of us who are ADD and may also have shades of Bipolar. We learn to get through our daily lives by creating a detailed environment ranging from putting our key always in the same place by the door to carrying around lists of what we need to do minute to minute. Unless you have had to live with this there is no way to understand how hard we have to work just getting through every day. Often people who are not ADD think it is just an excuse or that it is "over prescribed" but when you truly are it is simply a way of life that if we are lucky we are diagnosed and learn to live with. Dr. Daniel Amen, has given us many tools to help us learn to make our lives more productive. I only recently have begun to be able to read. His books show brain scans of the 7 types of ADD and provide clear explanations of all the different combinations of factors that relate to them. What an eye opener. I lost my sister to suicide in the mid 70s and my brother was murdered in the mid 90s. Both struggled with forms of ADD. Those left suffer greatly from the loss. My heart goes out to Robin Williams family. The hardest thing is that they make the choice for what they think they need to be at peace and we can't go back and help change it. We are left here in this life and as his wife said, we need to remember all the positive and beauty that he gave to all of us. But we also will have to grieve the terrible loss and hope that the next generation will have better tools to help those going through this to find the help they need to save them from this kind of pain. I am sad but I do understand the pain."

Amanhã voltamos a Mish-Mish
Xerinhos quentes em todos.
